The Marang Plant, set to launch in Q1 of 2025, will stand as one of the largest and most technologically advanced silica processing facilities in the region. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to produce over 2,700,000 metric tons (MT) per year of high-purity silica products, utilizing fully automated beneficiation processes to ensure the highest quality.
While the Marang plant will produce silica sand like our Setiu plant, it incorporates advanced technologies that allow us to diversify our product range significantly. This cutting-edge facility will go beyond traditional silica sand production, enabling the creation of high-value materials such as:
- Ultra Purity Industrial Silica Flour: Crafted with ultra-low iron content, suitable for industries like high-end glass manufacturing, electronics, and precision optical products.
- High Brightness Cristobalite: Known for its remarkable whiteness and thermal stability, ideal for high-performance coatings, ceramics, and industrial applications.

Phase 1: Silica Grits
Phase 1 of the project features a state-of-the-art High Pressure Grinding Roll (HPGR) system to produce Ultra-Purity Industrial Silica Grits. This system ensures precise particle size control, superior purity, and energy efficiency, meeting the rigorous standards of high-end glass and electronics industries. It enables us to process silica ore with greater precision and consistency, positioning us as a leader in the high-purity silica market.

Phase 2: Ultra-Purity Industrial Silica Flour
The Marang plant will expand its capabilities with the launch of Phase 2, which will introduce a Ball Mill system specifically designed to produce Ultra-Purity Silica Flour. This advanced system enables the production of silica flour with finer particle sizes and enhanced consistency, meeting the exacting requirements of industries that demand superior purity and precision. This material is critical for applications requiring precision and reliability, such as advanced coatings and engineered stone.
Phase 3: Cristobalite
Phase 3 will further enhance the Marang plant’s capabilities with the introduction of a dedicated Cristobalite Production Plant. This facility will focus on producing High Brightness Cristobalite, a material renowned for its outstanding whiteness and thermal stability. This product is highly sought after in industries requiring premium performance, such as advanced ceramics and specialized coatings.
